Dennis Mitchell is a Financial Advisor who believes in getting to know his clients personally and finds joy in meeting their financial needs and desires.

Dennis' approach is that he takes time to sit down and speak with his clients so that his recommendations and strategies clearly align with the path they want to take. He also considers what's best for them and builds his strategies based on sound practices and decades of experience.

Dennis graduated from Midwestern State University and later spent 30 years with Southern Farm Bureau helping clients create and maintain a pathway toward their goals. Dennis joined the advising team in 1998 while living in Harlingen with his wife and family. Currently, he offices out of his North Texas home office.

He grew up in North Texas on his family ranch, Mitchell Cattle Ranch, west of Wichita Falls. He now spends a great deal of his time on the ranch and is proud to say it's been in his family for over 118 years. He was proudly married to his wonderful wife, Becky, of 56 years, with whom he has four children: Kellie, Scott, Trey, and Todd.

When he isn't helping his clients with their financial vision, Dennis is busy taking care of over 40 head of cattle or being active in his local church.

Julie Martin is the Operations Manager at Martin Insurance and Investments, Inc., where she brings over 35 years of entrepreneurial experience and a passion for client relations. Born and raised in McAllen, Texas, Julie attended the University of Texas-Pan American, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. During her high school and college years, she owned her own business, which laid the foundation for her robust career journey. After college, Julie entered the retail sector, starting in a managerial role at Toys'R'Us and eventually becoming a store director. Leaving the retail world behind, she ventured back into entrepreneurship, a path that has fueled her passion to this day.

Julie continues to run her own business while supporting the office and top-notch staff at Martin Insurance & Investments, Inc., enjoying a role that allows her to connect with clients. Julie finds great joy in getting to know clients and cherishes the opportunity to catch up with their lives, making every interaction meaningful.

Married to Keith for 29 years, she is a proud mother of two sons—one with an MBA in Finance working for a multinational conglomerate, and the other a dedicated medical student with aspirations of becoming a surgeon. Julie's home is filled with love, including a Doberman, as well as a rescue dog and cat. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling,  gardening, and cooking.

Jennifer puts her best foot forward each day at Martin Insurance & Investments. Her passion for building strong connections with our clients continues to play a pivotal role in delivering long-term success to our business. Originally from Monterrey Park, California, Jennifer graduated from South Texas College and now resides in Harlingen, TX with her husband and children. Their playful Boxer, Kobe, and new puppy, Riley, adds another layer of joy to their family. Outside the office, Jennifer enjoys baking and going to the gym.

Marla Perez is the go-to friendly face at Martin Insurance & Investments for all administrative tasks. Marla is passionate about making sure every one of our clients feels cared for by our team. Originally from San Antonio, TX, Marla graduated from Western Washington University and now calls Harlingen, TX, home with her husband, son Paul Jr. and his family, and dog Sophie. When Marla isn't helping our customers, she enjoys winding down with a good book, listening to her favorite music, or exploring the open road in her RV.
